Job Description
- Job Title: CDL B Driver
- Job Description
- The CDL B Driver safely operates single commercial vehicles weighing over 26,000 pounds to transport goods, materials, on local routes. Travel is local throughout the state of Ohio and workers will be home by the end of the day. This role focuses on timely, accurate deliveries while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.
- Shift
- 1st shift - Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm Weekends are not required.
- Responsibilities
- + Safely operate a single commercial vehicle over 26,000 pounds in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety standards.
+ Map and plan delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
+ Pick up loads, organize goods in the truck, and securely arrange and fasten all packages and palletized materials.
+ Verify that the trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit before departure.
+ Transport pallet goods and packages from the place of origin to the assigned destination.
+ Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clients and receiving locations.
+ Communicate with dispatch as needed to report delivery status, delays, issues, or route changes.
+ Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Essential Skills
- + Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL B).
+ Good standing with the DOT.
+ Previous commercial driving experience with a box truck. Experience with yard loaders is also acceptable.
+ Proven ability to plan and follow delivery routes to meet scheduled delivery times.
+ Ability to safely load, organize, and secure pallet goods and packages for transport.
+ Competence in attaching and verifying secure trailer hitch connections to the tractor unit.
+ Strong communication skills to interact effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and clients.
+ Ability to obtain signatures or complete warehouse scans to document deliveries accurately.
+ Commitment to safe driving practices and adherence to all applicable regulations.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Familiarity with materials and products related to cutting tools, carving, stonework, construction, manufacturing, and CNC machines. + Ability to work occasional overtime after the regular shift when needed.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $50000.
00 - $55000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. 170th year family owned, 5th generation currently.
