Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Class A Tractor Trailer Roll-off Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty roll-off trucks equipped with a tractor trailer and specialized rear loader mechanisms to efficiently manage multiple accounts. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety protocols, and excellent customer service will ensure smooth operations across municipal routes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to environmental sustainability while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate Class A tractor trailers with roll-off mechanisms, including rear loader trucks, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and state transportation regulations Drive assigned routes efficiently, ensuring timely pickup and drop-off of waste containers across designated municipal or commercial sites Load and unload waste materials using rear loaders, or roll-off trucks, following proper safety procedures for heavy lifting and hazardous materials regulations when applicable Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking air brakes, mechanical systems, and load securement devices to ensure compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, route details, load weights, and delivery/pickup documentation in accordance with DOT regulations Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate route activities and resolve any issues promptly Follow traffic laws diligently while practicing defensive driving techniques to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road Skills Proven experience operating commercial trucks, including roll-off trucks with manual transmissions and air brake systems Strong knowledge of heavy lifting techniques, load securement, and waste management procedures Familiarity with municipal waste collection processes and solid waste management practices Excellent understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and state transportation laws Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting of truck systems and equipment maintenance needs Outstanding customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients and team members Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions, demonstrating resilience and adaptability during route driving Join our team as a Class A Tractor Trailer Roll-off Driver if you're passionate about safe driving, environmental stewardship, and providing exceptional service. Pay:
