Hickey Metal Fabrication is seeking a responsible truck driver with a CDL Class A license to haul and transport finished metal goods. Essential Functions The driver is responsible for loading and unloading the truck as well as pulling product from the warehouse The driver will learn parts and be responsible to transfer parts inside of the production facility to the proper work stations. The driver will normally drive distances from 20 to 100 miles The driver will be required to make multiple deliveries in one day The driver is responsible for daily truck/trailer inspections The driver is responsible for his or her log book The driver must keep the truck and trailer clean and in good working order The driver will spend approximately 30-40% outside of the truck moving materials and staging the next delivery The driver must follow directions, be able to communicate well with shipping manager and be safe Must be customer service focused and represent Hickey Metal Fabrication at each delivery Qualifications Class A CDL Able to drive a forklift to load and unload material 3-5 yrs previous driving experience is required Must be organized and be able to manage shipping paperwork Pass a Pre Employment DOT Physical and Hair folic drug test and background check Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be active and requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and kneeling. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 50 pounds. The employee will be on their feet for 60% of the time when they are not driving. The employee will load and unload in all types of weather conditions.
