Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Night Shift Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks during overnight hours to transport materials efficiently across construction sites. Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks during night shifts, adhering strictly to all safety regulations and operational procedures Transport construction materials, debris, and other loads between sites and designated disposal or storage areas Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and safety equipment Maintain accurate logs of all trips, loads transported, and any incidents or maintenance needs Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times Assist with basic maintenance and mechanical checks on trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance Collaborate with site supervisors and other heavy equipment operators such as loaders, excavators, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery to coordinate logistics Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record suitable for heavy truck operation Proven experience in commercial truck driving within construction or similar industrial environments Mechanical knowledge for routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, and backhoes Familiarity with construction utility work including utility locating and excavation processes Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and heavy equipment operation standards Ability to operate construction machinery including loaders, excavators, backhoes, and Caterpillar equipment safely and efficiently Construction site experience with a focus on grading, utility work, and site logistics is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members across various roles Join us in delivering essential materials safely through the night while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
