Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for transporting freight efficiently and safely across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling, with a focus on delivering excellent service and maintaining the integrity of hazardous and non-hazardous goods. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, across over-the-road (OTR) routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Plan and follow optimal routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time delivery of freight. Load and unload cargo with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring the secure transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with hazardous materials regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and cargo handling activities in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments as needed. Ensure proper documentation for freight, including load manifests, delivery receipts, and hazardous materials paperwork. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures for freight such as freight containers or hazardous goods. Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or tractor-trailers with manual transmissions is preferred. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient delivery schedules. Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to dangerous goods transportation. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload operations. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients. Pay:
$25.17 - $30.31 per hour
