Wireline Lead Operator
JOB SUMMARY
: The Lead Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the wireline truck at the service location, rigging up the wireline truck and crane (as applicable) at the service location and assisting with all wireline operations both in the shop and in the field. The Lead Operator operates and maintains the assigned truck and equipment, as well as keeping records for the overall operation.Roles and Responsibilities :
Understand and adhere to all Tier 1 Completions Solutions Inc. (Tier 1) policies and procedures, furthermore, understand and adhere to any client's policies and procedures; Ability to promote safety awareness; Assembles perforating guns and tool strings under the Supervision in various field locations; Drives wireline trucks within compliance of DOT regulations; Drives company pickups that may be pulling trailers in accordance with the rules and regulations of governing transportation guidelines and Tier 1 policy and procedures; Under direct supervision the Senior Operator will be involved in the preparation of the unit and calibration of equipment; Works under the direction of the Field Supervisor safely, efficiently according to established standards, policies and guidelines; Rig up and rig down wireline equipment and pressure control equipment; Under direct supervision the Senior Operator will redress tools in the shop and in the field; Ensuring compliance with all regulations applicable to Wireline explosives operations; Assists the supervisor in the troubleshooting of tool, equipment and truck problems; Cleans and maintains company vehicles, tools and equipment; Other duties as assigned by the reporting Manager.Knowledge and Skills:
Two (2) - Three (3) years recent experience with logging and perforating etc; DOT Regulations; Explosives Safety; Basic Electronic knowledge; Willingness to learn and grow within Tier 1; Ability to read and comprehend simple oral and written English instructions and effectively communicate information to others; Basic math skills (additions, subtraction, multiplication and division); Ability to think quickly and apply problem solving skills to situations as they come up in the field; Ability to work in a positive team environment; Ability to work with hand and power tools; Mechanical aptitude; Required to keep all applicable certifications up to date as required by Tier 1's Quality and HSE; Ability to operate independently; Ability to champion a company safety culture.Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Frequent climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain); Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling (70 pounds); Frequent bending, twisting and standing; Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions; Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week; Exposure to high noise over 85 dba; Working with radiation; Working with explosives.Educations, Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; CDL Hazmat and tank License required; First Aid and CPR certified highly preferred.Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Wireline Lead or equivalent management experience; Results from a pre-employment test must be deemed acceptable in accordance with Tier 1's policies; 5 years' commercial/drivers abstract must be in compliance with Tier 1's guidelines; This position requires driving a company vehicle or using your own vehicle for company purposes and requires an acceptable drivers abstract. Please note that Tier 1 cannot accommodate. Preference will be given to candidates that reside in the immediate area of the position; Must have the ability to pass a federal background check; Must be authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions; Compliance to work in US with explosives (specific documentation); Ability to travel; Prior work experience in wireline operations; CDL Hazmat and tank License required.Benefits
