Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Dump Truck Driver to oversee and operate heavy-duty dump trucks pulling truck and pup and occasionally deliver solo. In this vital role, you will lead a team of drivers, ensure safe and efficient transportation of materials, and maintain compliance with all safety regulations. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, construction utility work, and machinery maintenance will drive project success and uphold our commitment to safety and quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example in a fast-paced construction environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely from start to finish. Responsibilities Operate large dump trucks, driving Mostly truck and pup from quarries to yard Monday-Friday, adhering strictly to federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Lead a team of dump truck drivers, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure high standards of safety and performance. Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks Conduct safety inspections before each shift, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain detailed logs of daily operations, equipment usage, safety incidents, and maintenance records for accountability and regulatory compliance. Experience Proven experience in commercial dump truck driving within the construction industry or related fields. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including dump trucks, excavators, loaders, water trucks, and Caterpillar machinery. Demonstrated ability to operate construction machinery safely while adhering to federal safety standards. Knowledge of equipment maintenance routines and troubleshooting techniques for heavy machinery. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
