Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that combines skill, responsibility, and adventure! In this position, you will operate tractor-trailers across various routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight. Your expertise in handling materials will be vital to maintaining our high standards of safety and efficiency. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on diverse routes, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport. Manage delivery driving tasks with precision, including route planning using GPS navigation systems to optimize efficiency. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation for freight shipments, delivery logs, and compliance records related to hazardous materials regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered during transit. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations,, and logistics cargo handling procedures. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle truck loading/unloading tasks efficiently. Strong understanding of GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time adjustments. Excellent manual handling skills for load securing and cargo management. $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
