Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics operation! In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers and various commercial vehicles to transport freight across regional and over-the-road (OTR) routes. Your expertise will ensure safe, timely deliveries while adhering to all federal and state transportation regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills, manage cargo handling, and contribute to efficient supply chain management. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on long-haul routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals at multiple destinations. Manage automobile transportation tasks such as vehicle loading, securing cargo, and verifying shipment accuracy. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to identify potential issues with the truck or cargo. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, inspections, and compliance documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and hazardous materials regulations for safe transportation of dangerous goods. Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation tools for efficient delivery routes across OTR driving routes. Ability to manually handle logistics cargo handling including load & unload procedures safely and efficiently. Excellent driving skills with experience in manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers. Knowledge of truck loading/unloading techniques, freight management, and delivery driving best practices.
