SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

The Technician Training Center Instructor will prepare, conduct, facilitate, schedule, and document the training courses that are provided to technicians at Sherwood Trucks, qualified technicians from other Daimler product dealers and technicians employed at customers of Sherwood Trucks. 2 |

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To obtain and keep current Daimler instructor qualifications under OEM program requirements. Learn and develop the training methods necessary to teach technicians of all skill levels the Daimler course material. Learn material through both written and hands-on job training. Provide technician training in the Sherwood classroom and hands on training with Sherwood training aides or a Sherwood training truck. Manage the revenue of your department by developing a proficiency at training that helps keep your classes at capacity. Each class will run on schedule even if it's not full, but we want as many students as possible. Manage your schedule and prepare and organize copies of course materials necessary for each class. Prepare course outlines, background materials, instructional materials, hand outs and tests for each class syllabus. Perform and review surveys, interviews, and/or internal audits with attendees to evaluate course effectiveness and your capabilities as the trainer. Use the data for continuous improvement. Foster a team atmosphere and assist in other duties as needed in the department or the shop floor. Experience with Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit Diesel, and/or Cummins is a plus. Computer Experience and Microsoft applications is required. Able to support our Safety Culture.. Willing to perform all other related duties as assigned to support our dealership and our customer. 3 |

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to the Lead Trainer. Able to support all other departments as needed to support our customers' experience and expectations. 4 |

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to move, push and set up heavy objects for engine and chassis training, maneuver cranes. Able to stand for long periods of time when training.
