This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and roll-off trucks. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and dump trucks within local routes Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or equipment like forklifts when necessary Follow GPS navigation and route plans to ensure timely deliveries and pickups Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations when applicable Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with legal requirements Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues promptly Load, secure, and unload various types of cargo including freight, hazardous materials, or dangerous goods with proper handling procedures Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery services Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks and handling different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks Knowledge of logistics cargo handling techniques including load & unload procedures for various freight types Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning Ability to comply with FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols Experience with forklift operation for loading/unloading when necessary Strong understanding of manual handling practices and safety procedures during cargo handling This role is designed for motivated drivers who are committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery.
