Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trailers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes to deliver freight across multiple locations. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, handling logistics cargo with care to prevent damage. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation according to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring trucks meet safety standards before and after each trip. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or any issues encountered during transit. Qualifications Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for manual handling and truck loading/unloading. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling is a plus. Strong navigation skills using GPS systems; ability to adapt quickly to route changes.
