Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Roll-Off Dumpster Truck Driver to join our dynamic waste management team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized roll-off trucks to transport and deliver large dumpsters, compactors, etc for commercial and municipal waste collection. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety protocols, and excellent customer service skills will ensure efficient, reliable service while maintaining compliance with all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable waste solutions while working autonomously outdoors in a fast-paced efficient environment. Responsibilities Safely operate roll-off trucks, load, transport, and unload dumpsters at various job sites including contractors and residences. Load and unload dumpsters efficiently with proper PPE. Adhering to safety rules and regulations of the company, contractors, and landfills. Follow established routes via provided iPad and software for delivery and pickup, ensuring timely service in accordance with schedule requirements. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, state transportation regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations when applicable. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety protocol adherence and mechanical integrity. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and address any issues promptly. Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, route completion, dump slips, fuel usage, and safety reports in compliance with company policies. Skills Proven experience operating roll-off trucks with a solid understanding of heavy lifting techniques. Strong knowledge of commercial truck driving practices, traffic laws, and safety regulations related to outdoor work environments. Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of garbage trucks and related equipment. Familiarity with air brake systems, manual transmissions, and vehicle inspection procedures. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and customers during drop-offs or pickups as well as office team, Ability to drive safely under various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety protocol adherence.
