Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. You will play a crucial part in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage diverse types of freight. Duties Operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. Execute route driving while adhering to delivery schedules and maintaining compliance with traffic laws. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Manage the transportation of different types of cargo, including hazardous materials when required. Ensure proper handling of equipment such as dump trucks and roll-off trucks during operations. Uphold a high standard of customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points. Experience Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on delivery driver roles. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is essential. Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is preferred. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent time management skills and the ability to navigate efficiently through various routes.
