Tanker Driver Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Tanker Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting LP & gas/diesel in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of trucks. Duties Operate tanker trucks to transport LP & gas/diesl to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and cargo transported. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation of hazardous materials. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the tanker truck. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tanker /hazmat operation. Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with tankers or similar vehicles such as dump trucks, flatbeds, or refrigerated trailers. Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to freight transportation. Excellent driving record with no major violations. Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
