Job Description
Are you a safety-focused, dependable professional with a Class A CDL looking for a rewarding driving career? SRM Concrete is seeking a skilled Tanker Operator to safely transport cement from supply terminals to our concrete plants—playing a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. If you're committed to safety, service, and being part of a team that values your expertise, SRM wants you behind the wheel. Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to various SRM Concrete plant locations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Accurately complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork in line with company policies and DOT regulations. Communicate proactively with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide updates on route progress. Ensure secure loading and unloading of cement, preventing spillage or contamination. Follow established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials. Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism. Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage. Stay current on safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
Job Requirements:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Tanker Endorsement is helpful, but not required. Current DOT Medical Card. Minimum of 2 years' proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks. Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport. Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and climbing. Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules. Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with plant personnel and customers. Willingness to undergo SRM's pre-employment screenings.
