The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage the loading and unloading of freight. Our Truck Drivers play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service. Duties Operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and straight trucks. Execute route driving to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. Experience with Moffett piggyback lift is a plus. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo delivered. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle. Skills Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles. Experience with flatbeds, dump trucks, other commercial vehicles. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures. Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading purposes. Excellent route navigation skills with a focus on efficiency. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety protocols. Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
