RIDGELAND, SC SUMMARY
The Mixer Driver primary responsibility is to report to work in uniform with required PPE at time directed by Plant Manager. Drives truck equipped with auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete to job sites. This in a variety of settings and conditions on road/off road including uneven ground and may require unloading by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide our customers with World-class customer service Perform all work as assigned by Plant Manager Must be able to climb on, over, and around a company vehicle in order to perform pre-crank and pre-trip inspections. Drives truck under loading hopper to receive specified concrete load and starts mixer Obtain delivery ticket and directions to job from Plant Manager Verify Slump Drive truck safely to job site for unloading Walk job site to check hazards, position truck, and hang necessary chutes Move levers on truck to release concrete down truck chute into wheelbarrow also concrete pump or other conveying container or directly into area to be poured with concrete Completely fill out delivery ticket including water added on job, time, and etc. Cleans truck and yard chute extensions after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck Drive truck safely back to plant as directed by Plant Manager to repeat process EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree(GED) One year of CDL regulated verifiable driving experience preferred Previous Concrete mixer truck experience is a plus Have maintained a good driving record Must be able to operate Manual transmission truck
QUALIFICATIONS A
valid Class A/B Commercial Driver's License Must be at 21 years old Must be able to read, write, and speak English and comprehend simple instructions Must have 6 months-1-year commercial truck driving experience Must be able to do simple math, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Must be able to lift 50lbs or more unassisted Ability to perform the essential functions of a mixer driver Please click link below to complete application.
