Job Description

Thompson Industrial Services LLC seeks an Equipment Operator Driver I to safely operate trucks and industrial cleaning equipment at client sites. In this entry-level field role, you'll support hydroblasting, vacuum, and environmental cleaning projects across power generation, manufacturing, and heavy industrial facilities. Responsibilities include safely driving to job sites, setting up and operating equipment, performing pre/post-trip inspections, and following all safety and environmental procedures. You'll work closely with a field crew in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment with strong training and growth opportunities into lead and supervisory roles. Responsibilities Safely drive company trucks and equipment to and from client sites Set up, operate, and shut down hydroblasting and vacuum equipment Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections Follow all safety, environmental, and
DOT/OSHA
regulations and procedures Assist crew with hose routing, containment, and job site housekeeping Complete basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues Maintain accurate logs, inspection forms, and job-related documentation Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and client representatives Support spill response and environmental cleanup activities as directed Participate in ongoing safety meetings and training sessions Required Skills Commercial driving (CDL preferred) Heavy equipment operation Hydroblasting equipment operation Industrial vacuum truck operation Basic mechanical and equipment maintenance DOT and OSHA safety compliance Load securement and rigging basics Job site safety and hazard recognition Log and inspection documentation Two-way radio and field communication
