Job Description

Job Title:
Truck Driver Reports to: Supervisor/Dispatch Job Overview SOPAKCO drivers are expected to work as a valued member of the shipping and receiving operations. This position will primarily consist of operating commercial vehicle involving positioning and moving trucks and trailers on and between required destinations. As well as loading and unloading freight.
Job Description:
Operate trucks over 4-tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations locations. Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products, materials and equipment. Perform daily required "user maintenance" and provide required reports and inspections. Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup. Operate all Material Handling Equipment (forklift, hand truck), Roll Clamp, etc. Maintain all certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs, and Federal Motor Carrier Guidelines Maintain and protect ALL property in excellent condition. Perform task that are assigned to support and improve the team operations. Assist other areas/departments as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Must possess a valid Class A with Air Brakes License and a valid medical card Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner Ability to make pickups and deliveries as required by shipping needs Truck driver experience required Must have good driving record Must be able to learn to operate all Material Handling Equipment Must be able to complete commercial vehicle inspection
Physical Requirements:
Requires prolonged sitting, standing and material handling equipment operations Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly Must be able to work in severe weather conditions, both heat and cold Must be 18 years or older Must be able to pass all pre-employment screening Must be able to operator manual truck.
