Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL Truck Driver/warehouse worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible to have or obtain a certification for forklift and reach truck. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, clean driving record with a CDL A or B Commerical driver's license and a minimum of 3 years driving experience. Class A is preferred but not limited and the ability to manage the loading and unloading of cargo. A high school diploma or GED required. Must possess excellent interpersonal and verbal skills. Reliable and dependable, good relationship management skills and team-oriented attitude. Duties This is a multifaceted position. Load and unload cargo using forklifts and manual handling techniques. Delivering fresh and shelf stable foods to established route sites as part of the mobile pantry and to agency partners in the eight-county region of Northeast Tennessee. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Manage refrigerated trailers as needed, ensuring temperature controls are maintained during transport. Operate manual transmission vehicles proficiently as required by specific routes or loads. Adhere to compliance with established Food Bank directives policies and external regulations. Experience Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures in compliance with safety standards. Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively. Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance practices is a plus.
