Summary:

The Mobile Driver/Donor Tech is responsible for driving the blood mobile transporting staff and equipment to blood drives and performing whole blood collection processes on donors including donor registration, verification of eligibility, venipuncture, and aftercare including treatment of donor reactions if applicable. Operates and maintains equipment involved in collection process including scales, HCT/HGB measuring devices. Performs donor blood pressure and temperature checks, and finger sticks. Responsible for opening and closing duties on the mobile unit including but not limited to stocking of supplies, loading and unloading equipment and supplies, and performing and interpreting quality control checks. Operates mobile buses and vans that do not require CDL to transport staff/equipment to blood drives. Performs required before, during, and after maintenance, cleaning and safety checks. The Mobile Driver/Donor Tech must work independently, possess in depth knowledge of all procedures, policies and programs, and effectively train individuals in all aspects of the collection process. Other duties as assigned. Must provide a high level of customer service, teamwork, professionalism, and confidentiality throughout the process. Maintains a safe work environment by following all Marsh policies and procedures and understanding and abiding by all regulatory body requirements including AABB and FDA. Must have ability to understand and promote all aspects of Marsh donor programs. If moving from a Team Lead position, must also perform duties as required of that job description.

Must maintain acceptable stick rate, possess problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment, demonstrate basic computer competency, and be detail-oriented and quality-minded.

Requirements:

High School diploma/GED, EMT/EMS, RN/LPN or phlebotomist course completion. Must have achieved at minimum Donor Tech II status.
