Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Dump Truck Driver and take charge of transporting construction materials, debris, and other freight across various job sites. This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks, including dump trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. You'll navigate diverse routes—over-the-road (OTR), route driving, and logistics cargo handling—while adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials guidelines. Duties Safely operate dump trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers on OTR routes and local deliveries Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques while ensuring cargo safety and compliance with load securement standards Navigate using GPS systems to reach destinations accurately and on time Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following all hazardous materials regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials regulations during all phases of operation Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels Document delivery details accurately in logs and reports; communicate effectively with dispatch for route adjustments or issues Assist with logistics cargo handling by loading/unloading freight at various sites; ensure proper truck loading and unloading procedures are followed Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on truck driving safety standards Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and tractor-trailers Skilled in route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery planning Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations Ability to handle manual tasks involved in load & unload operations safely and efficiently Experience with delivery driving across diverse environments including OTR routes and local deliveries Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight security and safety Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred Ability to manage dangerous goods transportation responsibly while maintaining compliance with all safety standards Join us as a Dump Truck Driver to drive your career forward in a role that combines active driving duties with vital logistical responsibilities.
