$23.88 per hour + $2,500 Sign-on bonus + $4,000 annual stipend with passenger endorsement

Are you ready for a meaningful career in criminal justice? MTC is currently hiring CDL Transportation Detention Officers at the Bluebonnet Detention Center in Anson, Texas. Job Responsibilities:
You'll be responsible for the transportation, custody, and discipline of non-citizens assigned to the facility.
Essential Functions:
Drive transport vehicles to transport non-citizens in vehicles provided. Transfer and transport non-citizens by walking, driving, or riding in vehicles. Restrain and secure assaultive detainees, as needed. Provide custody and security including observation of non-citizens during transportation. Search for contraband and provide security including by climbing ladders or stairs in search of contraband. Perform specific security functions including body searches by squatting and bending to perform such functions. Must be able to work rotating shifts and all posts assignments.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior corrections experience is preferred. Valid CDL in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required. Passenger endorsement is necessary to receive annual stipend. Successful completion of the ICE/ERO bus driver training program, or a comparable approved training program, and all local state requirements for a commercial driver's license also required.
