Job Description

The Yard Tractor Driver is responsible for safely transporting trailers throughout the facility to support quality control, production, and shipping operations. This position ensures trailers are properly inspected, repaired when necessary, staged for shipment, and transported in a timely and safe manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Transport trailers from the yard to the Pre-Ship QC area for inspection. Move trailers that pass inspection to the Stacking Bay for final staging. Return trailers that fail inspection to the appropriate department for necessary repairs and corrections. Retrieve repaired trailers and transport them back to Pre-Ship QC for re-inspection and verification of completed corrections. Stage approved trailers in designated shipping areas while awaiting carrier pickup. Inspect trailers for visible damage and immediately report any issues to the Foreman. Safely operate yard tractors and other assigned equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards. Perform daily equipment checks and maintain proper fluid levels in the tractor. Wash and clean the tractor on a weekly basis to ensure safe operation and professional appearance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Assist with other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Ability to safely operate a yard tractor and move trailers within the facility. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Commitment to workplace safety and company policies. Physical Requirements Ability to frequently enter and exit equipment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
