Job Description

This position handles generators, compressors, wiring, and similar equipment. Drivers report to the customer location each morning for dispatch and complete a mix of flatbed deliveries, drop-and-hook moves, and pintle-hook work. Pay & Schedule Starting pay: $32.50 per hour Guaranteed 40 hours per week Typically 40-50 hours per week Overtime paid at time and a half Average 8-10 hours per day Standard start time is approximately 7:30 AM Earlier start times may occasionally be required Home daily Rare overnight stays may occur in exceptional situations Occasional weekend work may be required based on customer demand or seasonal workload Route & Freight Dedicated flatbed account Deliver and pick up generators, compressors, wiring, and similar equipment Report to the customer location each morning for daily dispatch assignments Mix of flatbed deliveries, drop-and-hook, and pintle-hook operations Equipment is generally pre-loaded or handled by the customer Drivers are still responsible for safe load securement and must be able to perform required flatbed duties when needed Complete required paperwork and delivery documentation Driver Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A flatbed truck Complete pre-trip inspections Secure loads using chains and required hardware Apply and remove tarps when required Hook and unhook trailers Climb onto and off flatbed trailers and loads Complete fuel tickets and delivery receipts Maintain regular and predictable attendance Driver Requirements Valid Class A CDL Must be at least 21 years old Must live within the account's 75-mile hiring radius At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years Minimum 6 months of flatbed experience within the last 5 years Hazmat endorsement required TWIC card required No reckless-driving convictions within the last 5 years No DUI convictions within the last 5 years No license suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years No serious moving violations within the last 12 months No more than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years No preventable DOT-recordable accidents within the last 3 years Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to perform physical flatbed duties, including: Lift freight up to 80 lbs Move freight requiring up to 54 lbs of force Lift and move side kits up to 46 lbs Lift tarps up to 110 lbs Handle chains and securement hardware up to 80 lbs Hook and unhook trailers requiring up to 90 lbs of force Climb safely on and off the trailer and load Benefits Paid time off 8 paid holidays Medical, dental, vision, and hearing coverage after 30 days Individual health plans + Family plans Rider policy available for legally married spouses Monthly profit-sharing contributions to retirement Referral bonuses Opportunities for local, regional, and leadership advancement Fast Track Hiring Submit your application for this position A recruiter will review your experience, endorsements, location, and flatbed background Qualified drivers will be contacted with next-step information Ready for a home-daily flatbed position with guaranteed hours and overtime potential?
