Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team as a heavy equipment hauler. Candidates must have 3 years of Heavy Equipment Hauling experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting heavy equipment safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and low boys. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the freight. Responsibilities Operate various types of trucks including heavy equipment trailers, flatbeds, and dump trucks. Perform route driving to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner. Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Utilize forklift equipment when necessary for loading and unloading tasks. Skills Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles. Experience with heavy equipment trailers, flatbed trucks, end dump, and tandem trucks is preferred. Strong commercial driving skills with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Previous heavy equipment hauling experience is a must Ability to operate forklifts, dozers, skid steers, and excavators safely and efficiently. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and best practices for load securing. Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance during all operations.
