The Emission Control Class A Driver/Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, equipment operation, project site setup, mobilization, chemical handling, site remediation and process verification and walkthroughs.Responsibilities:
Operate and set-up all necessary vapor control equipment such as scrubbers. Thermal oxidizers, flares and all manner of supporting equipment such as heat exchangers, hoses and ductwork in accordance with operational and training and guidelines and safety procedures. Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear. Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heavy industrial environments. Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets and all other external and internal equipment on tanks. Maintain operational integrity of environmental systems, to include monitoring and data logging. Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area prior to starting any job. Informs supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries or lost productivity. Assist in general maintenance of company equipment, service, grease, etc. Wash and clean company equipment- Pressure wash, clean cabs, etc. General housekeeping
- sweeping floors, taking out trash, and helping keep work areas clean and organized.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. No prior emissions control experience is required. Candidates with a valid Class A CDL and a willingness to learn equipment operation, emissions control systems, and industrial field work are encouraged to apply. Recent CDL graduates are welcome. Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). No E or K restrictions. Must possess a valid Transportation Workers Identification card (TWIC) or be able to obtain one. Must possess a Medical Examiner's Certificate or be able to obtain one. Must be capable of passing a personal background screen. Must be capable of passing an MVR background screen. Commercial Driver- Operator run under the FMCSA 70-hour rule.
Requirements:
Must be able to travel for extended periods of time. Respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week if called upon. Ability to work for extended periods of time within a confined space, in extreme temperature environments, and at high elevation. Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures, Ability to understand and follow specific procedures and directions. Ability to routinely lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, work in confined spaces, kneel, crouch, crawl, and stand for extended periods. Must be able to successfully complete all pre-employment screening requirements, including background checks where permitted by law.Benefits:
