Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a WEEKEND (Saturdays and Sundays) Box Truck Driver ( NON-CDL ) and become a vital part of our logistics operation! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, delivering goods efficiently across various routes, and ensuring timely deliveries to our valued customers. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will help keep our supply chain moving smoothly. Duties Safely operate box trucks adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries across local and over-the-road (OTR) routes. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport. (pallet jack and lift gate) Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records in accordance with DOT regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Must have clean driving record. Must be able to pass background and drug test. Experience Proven experience as a commercial truck driver, particularly with delivery driving involving freight transportation. Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including logistics cargo handling. Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials regulations. Experience navigating route driving using GPS systems for efficient deliveries across diverse locations. Prior exposure to over-the-road (OTR) driving routes or long-haul trucking is advantageous but not mandatory. Embark on an energetic career path that values your driving expertise!
