Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and other freight to various job sites and disposal locations. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects and support efficient logistics operations across diverse terrains and environments. Responsibilities Operate dump trucks with manual transmission along over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of freight. Load and unload cargo, including construction materials, hazardous goods, or debris, adhering to safety protocols and cargo handling procedures. Navigate using GPS systems to follow designated routes accurately while optimizing delivery schedules. Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations during all operations. Transport refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or tractor-trailers as required for specialized freight such as dangerous goods or hazardous materials. Maintain vehicle inspection logs, report any mechanical issues promptly, and ensure trucks are in optimal working condition. Follow all safety guidelines related to manual handling, truck loading/unloading, and securement of cargo to prevent accidents or damage. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across OTR routes. Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques. Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for transporting dangerous goods. Experience operating various types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently under varying conditions. Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for route planning and execution.
