Overview Join our dynamic team as a CDL Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. As a CDL Driver, you'll be the vital link in our logistics chain, ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional service for our customers. Your expertise in driving, cargo handling, and route management will drive the success of our operations every day. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers on over-the-road (OTR) routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize travel time and fuel consumption. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured correctly for transport. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking manual transmissions, load securement, brakes, lights, and tires. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records in accordance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries, report issues promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated (e.g., hazmat endorsement if applicable). Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including freight delivery and route driving. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards. Experience operating various truck types such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers is preferred. Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles and perform manual handling tasks related to cargo loading/unloading. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for route planning on OTR routes. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance. Physical ability to load/unload freight manually when necessary.
