Available Benefits Help for . The Propane (LP) Bobtail Driver will play a crucial role in providing propane deliveries to our commercial and residential customers in a safe and efficient manner, with a key focus on customer satisfaction.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Complies with all rules and regulations. (TXRRC, NFPA 58, NFPA 54, 49 CFR 172, DoT, TDA, etc.) Loads,secures, transports, and delivers propane to residential and commercial locations Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment used for the transportation of hazardous materials. Maintains and completes accurate records by documenting truck inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven in compliance with all DOT regulations. Maintains the operational efficiency of vehicles by monitoring truck maintenance needs, conducting minor repairs and conducting daily and monthly DOT truck inspections to ensure maximum vehicle safety. Ensures that delivery vehicle receives service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor. Upholds excellent company representation standards and equipment presentation. Works to exceed customer expectations through effective communication and service. Ensures customer safety through prefill inspections, awareness and system testing, as required. Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Proven work experience as a Fuel Delivery Driver (required) and Service Technician (preferred but not required). Knowledge of propanesystems (preferred) Ability to obtain a TXRRC propane delivery certification within three (3) months of employment (if not already certified - required) Ability to obtain aTXRRC service and installation certification within twelve (12) months of employment (if not already certified) Willingness to learn and grow and uphold a customer culture that continually strives to exceed expectations. Ability to solve problems and repair equipment on site. Ability to effectively and efficiently use navigation tools such as GPS,smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and other departments either verbally or via email,phone, text, etc., as appropriate. Ability to maintain accurate driving and service logs and records. Ability to carry out a series of instructions with limited supervision. Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND BEHAVIORAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to heavy weights of 10 to 100 lbs. for approximately 90% of the work shift. Ability to regularly climb in and out of a commercial motor vehicle, multiple times per work shift. Good hand eye coordination, arm hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to operate equipment is required, including at night. Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and arms. Must be able to speak and hear. Position is subject to pre-hire DOT medical certification requirements and drug and/or alcohol testing, as well as a physical abilities test performed by a company provider. Must pass pre-employment screening and background check. Position may require working evening hours and weekends as needed. Work is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes and gases is common. airborne particles. Basic problem-solving skills, applying knowledge of rules and regulations to daily tasks.
