Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations. Your expertise will help keep our supply chain moving smoothly while providing exceptional service to our customers. Duties Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized equipment such as Hazmat and hazardous materials transport vehicles. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly according to logistics cargo handling standards. Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and other safety protocols during all phases of transportation. Transport goods safely over long distances, including automobile transportation and delivery driving to various locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections, monitor vehicle performance, and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with regulatory requirements. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving. Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for hazardous and dangerous goods. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual handling tasks efficiently. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time tracking. Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with tractor-trailer units such as refrigerated trailers or flatbeds is preferred.
