Relief Box Truck Driver - Flexible Part-Time / As-NeededJob Summary We are looking for an experienced, dependable Box Truck Driver to join our team as a Relief Driver based in Gainesville, TX. This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver looking for flexible, supplemental work without a full-time commitment . Our Relief Driver helps cover routes when additional driver support is needed, including scheduled route days, employee absences, and select Saturdays. This is an as-needed position, and weekly hours are not guaranteed. Candidates should be available to work between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM when scheduled , although actual workdays may be shorter depending on the route. What You'll Do Operate box trucks and other company vehicles on scheduled pickup routes. Complete assigned routes, ensuring timely and accurate pickups. Load and unload materials while following proper handling and safety procedures. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and complete required vehicle inspections. Provide professional and courteous customer service during pickups. Communicate with office and operations staff regarding routes, pickups, and schedule changes. Follow company safety procedures and all applicable traffic laws and regulations.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum 2 years of box truck driving experience. Extensive professional driving experience is preferred. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record with no major violations. CDL is not required , but CDL holders are welcome to apply. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to safely lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of transportation and material-handling safety procedures. Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently.

Preferred:

Live within approximately 20 miles / 30 minutes of Gainesville, TX. DOT physical required upon hire. About the Position This position is designed for someone who wants to stay active and earn additional income without committing to a traditional full-time driving schedule.
