Job Description
Clean Harbors seeks a safety-focused Driver Class A to support our environmental and industrial service operations. In this role, you will operate CDL Class A vehicles to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste, equipment, and materials between customer sites and approved facilities. You will perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs, and ensure loads are properly handled, secured, and documented. Working in a safety-first, environmentally responsible culture, you'll follow strict OSHA, DOT, and company procedures, use appropriate PPE, and support emergency response or industrial cleaning activities as needed. This position offers the chance to contribute to meaningful environmental protection projects while developing your technical and driving skills within a collaborative team committed to integrity and operational excellence. Responsibilities Operate CDL Class A vehicles to transport industrial and environmental waste to approved facilities Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required logs and documentation Handle, load, secure, and unload containers and materials in compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations Follow all company, state, and federal safety procedures, including use of PPE and spill-prevention practices Coordinate with dispatch and site personnel to meet schedules and service requirements Respond professionally to customers while representing Clean Harbors on client sites and roadways Participate in safety meetings, training, and drills, including emergency response procedures as needed Report equipment issues, incidents, and near-misses promptly for corrective action Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle and associated equipment Support environmental and industrial service operations as directed by supervisors Required Skills CDL Class A driving Tanker and hazardous materials handling DOT and OSHA compliance Vehicle inspection and maintenance Route planning and time management Load securement Electronic logbook operation (ELD) Emergency response procedures Industrial/waste transport operations Safety and PPE protocols
