Job Description

Crete Carrier Corporation is hiring professional Truck Drivers to safely transport freight across regional and OTR lanes. In this role, you will operate late-model tractors and dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed trailers, following all DOT and company safety regulations. Drivers plan routes, complete accurate logs and electronic documentation, and conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections. You'll work closely with dispatch and customers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries while providing courteous service. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer equipment to transport freight safely and efficiently Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies and procedures Plan routes and manage on-time pickups and deliveries Perform accurate pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects Maintain electronic logs and required transportation documentation Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and support teams Secure loads and ensure proper handling of dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed freight Adhere to HOS regulations and manage driving/rest schedules Represent the company professionally at customer locations and on the road Contribute to a safety-focused, driver-first culture Required Skills CDL-A truck operation Defensive driving and safety compliance DOT and HOS regulation knowledge Electronic Logging Device (ELD) use Trip planning and routing Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting Load securement Time management Customer service communication Refrigerated and/or flatbed freight handling
