In this role, you will play a vital part in our growth by ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of our Grade D Breathing Air equipment, safety supplies, and rental orders. Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial trucks ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Transport hazardous materials (Hazmat) following all hazardous goods regulations and safety protocols to prevent accidents or spills. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for over-the-road (OTR) routes. Use GPS navigation systems to follow designated routes accurately and efficiently, adapting to route changes as needed. Drive flatbed hauling monorail trailers loaded with Grade D Breathing air , or automobile transportation units depending on the shipment requirements. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries, report delays or issues, and ensure smooth logistics cargo handling. Communicate Effectively and Positively with Customers upon delivery and pickup cordinating drop off and pick up locations. Skills Proven experience in Haz-Mat Transportation. Strong knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) and safe manual handling practices for cargo loading/unloading. Skilled in operating flatbeds and other specialized equipment like automobile transport units. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments during long-haul routes. Ability to drive manual transmission trucks confidently over long distances on OTR routes while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Excellent understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight security and safety compliance. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations related to commercial truck driving, hazardous goods transportation, and driver safety standards. Communicate Professionally, Empathetically, and Clearly. Ability to lift and move heavy loads safely.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
