Job Description

Overview Atlantic Heavy Loaders is a growing operation that specializes in over-dimensional and overweight cargo moving in and out of the Port of Houston. We are looking for owner-operators with their own truck and Class A CDL for local and regional work. This position will focus on moving flat racks and containers in and out of the port as well as moving some other cargo regionally. Work schedule will be Monday-Friday with some optional weekend work when available with drivers able to go home daily. Duties Operate and maintain your own truck, (must have your own truck) ensuring it follows all safety regulations. Port and Regional work - Hauling 20', 40' and 45' containers and OOG/OW flat racks as well as some overweight/over dimensional cargo. Execute timely deliveries as instructed. Adhere to all DOT and company regulations and safety policies. Maintain accurate records of all required documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (2 year CDL minimum). Over-size and overweight cargo experience required. Intermodal experience preferred. Familiarity with Port of Houston. Effective communication skills. Ability to work independently. TWIC card required. $2,500.00 - $4,500.00 per week
