Job Summary June Furniture seeks an experienced box-truck driver who also delivers, handles and assembles furniture with care. Work includes Texas same-day routes and overnight interstate trips , generally planned for 3-5 days. Weekly return home is planned; early starts, long days and some weekend work may be required. Schedules can change with route conditions. Responsibilities Operate assigned non-CDL Isuzu FTR/NPR trucks, including 26-foot trucks; inspect and report defects. Load, secure and unload assigned cargo. Deliver and install furniture with a teammate; occasional solo curbside and in-room deliveries. Pick up and deliver approved B2B return loads to the assigned receiver before warehouse return, unless dispatch authorizes another plan. Follow DOT/HOS, ELD and company app rules. Complete departure/return vehicle checks, post-trip cleaning/washing and delivery reports. Company vehicles use cameras; recording and authorized review follow the written monitoring policy. Requirements Relevant box-truck experience , preferably 26-foot; furniture handling and assembly skills ; appropriate valid license and driving record meeting company/insurer standards; availability for overnight routes; ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Must meet applicable interstate driver qualifications, including minimum age 21 and required English proficiency. Qualifications are verified separately. No CDL is required for the assigned non-CDL vehicles.
Pay and benefits:
W-2 employment; weekly payroll. Gross hourly rates before taxes/deductions. Hours vary and no minimum weekly hours are guaranteed. All compensable hours are recorded and paid. Overtime is paid when legally required; approved classification is explained in writing before offer acceptance. Paid training; vacation starting at 40 hours annual entitlement, plus 16 personal hours and one combined 24-hour sick/bereavement bank annually under written policy.
Travel support:
Full hotel coverage provided for all over-the-night trips outside the Houston area, with flexible choices from our preferred hotel network, and $25 per person/route day; written expense and exception rules apply. Company workwear, employee furniture pricing and a referral program. No employer health insurance currently offered.
