Job Description

As a CDL Driver at PODS, you'll safely deliver, pick up, and position portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers. In this field-based role, you'll operate CDL vehicles and lifting equipment, perform inspections, and ensure loads are properly secured, all while following DOT and PODS safety standards. You'll be the face of PODS on-site-providing friendly, solution-focused service, communicating with dispatch, and helping customers with container placement. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL vehicle to deliver, pick up, and reposition PODS containers Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs Load, secure, and unload containers following PODS and DOT safety standards Use lift systems and equipment to place containers accurately at customer locations Provide courteous, professional service and resolve basic customer issues on-site Maintain accurate electronic logs, delivery documentation, and route records Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies and procedures Communicate with dispatch and team members to meet delivery schedules Protect company property and report incidents, accidents, or delays promptly Support a teamwork-focused culture and assist with yard or warehouse tasks as needed Required Skills CDL commercial driving Defensive driving and maneuvering Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Knowledge of
DOT/FMCSA
regulations Electronic log device (ELD) operation Safe loading, unloading, and securing of containers Forklift and material handling Route planning and GPS navigation Customer service and communication Time management and documentation
