Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roll-Off Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating roll-off trucks to transport and dispose of waste and recyclable materials efficiently. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate roll-off trucks equipped with hydraulic systems for loading, transporting, and unloading waste containers across designated routes. Navigate using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient route planning and timely deliveries or pickups. Load and unload cargo with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of loads according to safety regulations. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and other relevant safety standards during daily operations. Manage over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, adhering to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency. Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure optimal truck performance. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, fuel usage, and compliance documentation in accordance with company policies. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers or flatbed trucks. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, tanker operations, or hauling hazardous or dangerous goods is a plus. Strong knowledge of GPS navigation tools and route planning for logistics cargo handling. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT rules, and safety protocols related to truck driving and cargo handling. Skilled in load & unload procedures, truck loading/unloading techniques, and securing freight properly. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with delivery driving and route driving preferred. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks required for loading/unloading cargo efficiently.
