Job Description
Overview We are seeking a professional and dependable Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds. This role involves delivering freight efficiently and safely across designated routes while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. Candidates should possess strong driving skills, a valid commercial driver's license, and the ability to handle different types of freight loads. Duties Safely operate trucks with manual transmission Drive tractor-trailers, flatbeds, along assigned routes Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure cargo safety and security Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimize fuel usage Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and cargo documentation Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any issues promptly Assist with freight handling as needed to ensure timely deliveries Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving operations Familiarity with various truck types including flatbed Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles safely and efficiently Experience with route driving and delivery driver responsibilities Knowledge of load & unload procedures for different freight types Ability to handle freight securely using appropriate equipment Strong understanding of safety protocols related to trucking operations Excellent navigation skills for route planning and adherence to schedules Physical ability to secure freight and perform vehicle inspections as required This position offers an opportunity for experienced drivers to utilize their skills in a dynamic environment while ensuring safe and timely deliveries across various industries.
