Job Overview Great Salt Lake Recycling is seeking a dependable and hardworking full-time Box Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily collection routes, material handling, and supporting warehouse operations across the Salt Lake Valley. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial truck driving and be committed to adhering to traffic regulations and safety standards. Duties Operate a 26ft box truck safely and efficiently to manage daily collection routes throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Load, unload, and haul tires and other materials from customer locations to designated recycling facilities. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during all driving activities. Use material handling equipment as needed to load and unload cargo securely. Support warehouse operations by assisting with manual handling tasks and organizing collected materials. Lead route management by ensuring timely pickups, maintaining accurate delivery logs, and communicating effectively with dispatch. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, preferably with box trucks or similar vehicles. Ability to operate material handling equipment safely. Strong knowledge of traffic regulations and safety standards related to commercial driving. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting tires and other materials. Excellent organizational skills for route management and time efficiency. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
