Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Seasonal Driver / Event Setup Technician to support daily operations across our event rental businesses. This role is primarily responsible for driving company vehicles, towing trailers (up to 22 ft), and delivering equipment, while also assisting with the setup and breakdown of tents, inflatables, and event equipment. All positions are seasonal, with employees typically working 30+ hours per week during peak season. High-performing team members may be considered for year-round full-time opportunities as business demand grows. Key ResponsibilitiesDriving & Transportation (Primary Focus) Safely operate company trucks and vehicles while towing trailers up to 22 feet. Transport tents, inflatables, and event equipment to and from job sites. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers. Ensure all loads are properly secured and balanced before transport. Follow all company driving policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws. Navigate routes efficiently to ensure on-time deliveries. Event Setup & Breakdown Assist with installation and breakdown of tents, inflatables, tables, chairs, and other rental equipment. Ensure all setups meet company safety and quality standards. Work as part of a team to complete large-scale event installations. Customer Interaction Provide professional and courteous service during deliveries and pickups. Communicate clearly with customers regarding setup expectations and timelines. Represent the company positively and professionally at all times. Physical Labor Lift, carry, and move equipment weighing 50+ pounds regularly. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Minimum 2 years of driving experience. Experience towing trailers (up to 22 ft preferred) or ability to learn quickly. Ability to work 30+ hours per week during peak season. Ability to lift 50+ pounds consistently. Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Good communication and customer service skills. Employment Structure All roles are classified as Seasonal Positions. Employees working 30+ hours per week may be scheduled at full-time hours during peak season. Opportunities for promotion into year-round full-time roles may be offered based on performance, reliability, and business needs. Cross-training between business lines (tents, inflatables, events) may be required. Driver Safety RequirementsGeneral Requirements Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times. Maintain safe speeds, following distances, and defensive driving practices. Seat belts must be worn at all times. No distracted driving (including mobile phone use). Vehicle & Trailer Safety Perform pre-trip inspections (lights, brakes, tires, hitch, safety chains). Ensure trailers are properly connected and all signals are working. Distribute weight evenly to prevent trailer sway. Allow increased stopping distance when towing. Incident Reporting Report all accidents, incidents, or near-misses immediately. Complete required incident reports. Failure to follow safety policies may result in disciplinary action.
