• 1,450 a week. Saturdays are voluntary. J.R. Tharpe Trucking has been hauling in Virginia since 1971. We're family-owned, and we're hiring day cab dump truck drivers out of our Rice terminal running aggregate across Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, and surrounding areas. This is a day cab — you are home every night. How pay works here You earn a percentage of what your truck makes:
• 25% — Centipedes and Quints
• 26% — Quads (higher rate because Quads carry less weight) If the truck makes $1,000 in a day, you earn $250
• 260 that day. This is production pay, so your output moves your check. Busy stretches pay well and weather slows things down. We'd rather you know that now than find out in month two. Schedule
• Monday through Friday standard
• Saturdays are voluntary — work them when you want the extra, skip them when you don't Paid training
• 1-2 weeks riding and driving with an experienced trainer
• $150 per day during training Bonuses
• $100 a month for perfect attendance
• Quarterly bonus based on company performance — typically 2.5-3% of your gross pay for the quarter
• Referral bonus — $250 when a driver you refer reaches 90 days, another $250 at 180 days. Open to every driver — anyone can refer anyone. Benefits after 90 days
