Job Description
Experienced Class A CDL Driver Hallstrom Excavating, LLC | Northfield, Vermont $22-$28/hour, based on experience Monday-Friday | Home Every Night | Overtime Opportunities Available Hallstrom Excavating, LLC is looking for an experienced Class A CDL driver to join our growing, family-owned excavation company in Northfield, Vermont. This is more than a driving position. We are looking for a dependable, experienced person who takes pride in their work, understands how to safely haul equipment and materials, and wants to be part of a team where their contribution matters. What You'll Do
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles
- Haul aggregate and construction materials in dump trucks
- Load excavation and construction equipment onto trailers
- Properly secure equipment and loads for transport
- Transport heavy equipment to and from jobsites
- Safely load and unload equipment
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Help maintain trucks and equipment in clean, safe operating condition
- Communicate and work effectively with operators, foremen, and other crew members
- Pitch in as part of the team when needed to keep projects moving What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL —
REQUIRED
- Minimum one year of Class A CDL driving experience —
REQUIRED
- Valid DOT medical card —
REQUIRED
- Clean driving record
- Manual transmission experience —
REQUIRED
- Experience hauling heavy equipment strongly preferred
- Knowledge of proper load securement
- Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload construction equipment
- Dependable and safety-conscious
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Team-oriented and willing to help where needed
- Professional communication with coworkers, customers, vendors, and the public What We Offer
