Position Summary:

This position is responsible to operate a straddle truck to transport fruit bins from one location to another. We are willing to hire a newly licensed CDL driver and train them on straddle trucks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead by example our Blue Star Vision, Mission, and Values Be kind and offer solutions Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers Obey and follow applicable traffic laws Secure cargo and properly arrange and balance it within the vehicle Ensure any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Comply with truck driving rules and regulations Report any defects, accidents and violations immediately Perform daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.) Interact with growers/orchardists in a professional manner Perform pre-trips vehicle inspection reports Record all cargo deliveries Verify loads for accuracy Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

Current Valid CDL Ability to communicate fluently in English, including reading, writing and verbal communication. Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and take part in the DOT drug and alcohol program.

Education and Experience:

Required CDL Class A License Clean Driving Record Preferred Previous experience driving a CDL vehicle Bilingual in

English and Spanish Expected Hours of Work:

Core business hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. These workdays and hours may vary depending on production requirements.
