Seattle, WA What You'll Do:

You'll support transportation and yard operations by safely moving trailers throughout the facility, coordinating trailer placement, monitoring refrigerated equipment, fueling tractors and reefers, and preparing trailers for loading. This hands-on role is critical to maintaining efficient transportation operations and ensuring equipment is ready for delivery schedules.

In This Role, You'll:

• Operate yard tractors, switchers, and other commercial motor carrier equipment safely and efficiently
• Move and position trailers for loading, unloading, and dispatch operations
• Coordinate trailer locations with warehouse and transportation teams
• Verify departure schedules and ensure proper tractor and trailer assignments
• Monitor and inspect refrigerated trailer temperatures
• Fuel tractors and refrigeration units as needed
• Clean and prepare returning trailers for warehouse loading operations
• Wash trailer interiors on a regular basis and maintain equipment cleanliness standards
• Conduct routine safety inspections and report equipment concerns
• Follow all DOT, company safety, and yard operating procedures

What You'll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Current DOT medical certification
• Minimum three years of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred
• Knowledge of transportation operations, DOT regulations, and yard safety practices
• Ability to interpret and monitor reefer temperature readings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities safely
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds as needed
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions
• Ability to climb in and out of equipment, manually crank landing gear, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift

The Schedule & Setting:

• Full-time position beginning at 6:00 a.m.
• Four-day, 10-hour schedule ( Sunday through Wednesday )
• Primarily on-site at a transportation yard and distribution facility
• Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Frequent walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and equipment operation
• Weekends and holidays may be included in the regular schedule
• Overtime is required when operational needs arise and may extend the scheduled shift

Pay & Benefits:

• Pay Rate (Base Pay): $32.47 per hour
• Weekly pay (every Friday)

Other Compensation:

May include overtime pay, bonuses, shift differentials, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location
