This position is ideal for a dedicated Orientation and Mobility Specialist who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on students ranging from Pre-K through 8th grade. The assignment begins on September 1, 2026, and extends through June 16, 2027, offering both valuable experience and flexibility. Youll provide consultative servicesjust 30 minutes per monthto help students with visual impairments gain the skills they need to succeed inside and outside the classroom. The time commitment is minimal and the schedule is highly adaptable, so you can work within a flexible window as long as sessions fall within predetermined guidelines.

Qualifications:

Valid Washington School Orientation and Mobility Specialist ESA certificate, or Washington ESA and recognized COMS or NOMC credential Experience supporting children in educational settings, preferably within Pre-K to 8th grades Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families Commitment to fostering student growth and promoting safe, independent mobility
