Local Delivery Driver (CDL and Non-CDL) Best Burn Firewood | New Berlin, WI Job Summary Best Burn Firewood serves thousands of homeowners across Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois with premium kiln-dried firewood, as well as more than 1,200 commercial locations for national retailers such as Home Depot, Sam's Club, Kwik Trip, Circle K, and Whole Foods. We are looking for a delivery driver with a clean driving record, a strong work ethic, and a sense of responsibility. This job requires physical work, including stacking firewood on deliveries.

Positions Available Non-CDL:

Starting pay is $22 per hour. Once you are trained and can perform the job proficiently, you can earn $26 per hour.

CDL:

If you hold a valid CDL, you can earn up to $30 per hour. You will still perform local firewood deliveries, and you can drive our two CDL box trucks servicing commercial accounts in our DSD (Direct Store Delivery) firewood program, such as Kwik Trip and Circle K locations. For interested drivers, we also have a multi-state OTR DSD program that averages $35 per hour. These are overnight routes. In our DSD program, drivers break down pallets at the store and fill the racks with firewood bundles. Schedule Monday-Friday 7AM start time Saturdays available Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal or commercial vehicles, following all traffic laws and DOT regulations Stack firewood at customer locations when needed Load delivery trucks accurately with the correct amounts Break down pallets and stock store racks on DSD routes Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and required logs Communicate promptly and courteously with customers Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; must be approved by our insurance and meet all DOT driver qualification requirements Must be at least 21 years old Must hold or be able to obtain a DOT medical card Ability to safely drive a Ford F-550 Ability to repeatedly lift up to 25 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions Must pass a pre-employment drug test CDL drivers are subject to an FMCSA Clearinghouse query and DOT random drug and alcohol testing This is a seasonal position, but for the right candidate it can become a full-time, year-round job.

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 50.0 per week
